The Jataayu of Sri Ramayana fighting till last breath gets defeated from powerful Ravaan. This Jataayu is not like that. Jataayu protects the skin of village Gowda completely. He is ready to give his blood and breathe for Gowda.

The film ‘Jataayu’ went on the floors on Thursday morning at Sapota Garden in Bengaluru Palace. ‘Sanchari’ musical hit film that did not bring money for the producers Ramappa, Lakshmanappa and Prabhakar featuring Raaj as hero is back again.

This time Raaj is independently directing the film for his story, screenplay and dialogues. Prabhakar of ‘Sanchari’ is independent producer of the film.

The film is set in the village background. Avinash plays the village Gowda and his trusted Shishya and bodyguard is Raaj. Bullet Prakash, Petrol Prasanna, Killer Venkatesh, RK Nataraj, Danny, Satish, Siddaraj Kalyankar, Kurup Ramesh and others are in the cast.

Vijay Chandra is scoring music for five songs while Thriller Manju, Ravi Verma and Mass Madha are six stunt directors. M U Nandakumar who worked for ‘Jogaiah’ Kannada cinema is the cameraman of the film.

Roopasri plays Avinash daughter and main heroine while Surabhi of Dushta Kannada cinema is also in prominent role.
